Miss Olivia Quintanilla’s Music Lessons are available as Home lessons, In School Lessons, or Studio lessons located in the Grand Garage building on Main Street in Stillwater, MN.

Rates
Studio Lessons start at $40/30 minute lesson on a weekly basis.
Home lessons are offered based on availability and an additional travel fee may be added based on travel distance.
School lessons at City of Lakes Waldorf Students are offered a school discount of $35/30 minute lessons.

Lessons Offered
Beginner Violin and Cello Lessons: 0-1 years experience on a bowed instrument
Intermediate Violin and Cello Lessons: 1-4 years experience on our current instrument, expand on technical skills, music theory, and performance.
Advanced Cello lessons: 4 year and up experience, learning advanced shifting, articulations, advanced repertoire and music theory
Young Beginner violin and cello lessons: For our youngest learners ages 7 and under. Requires a parent interview and trial lesson.
Fiddle violin and cello Lessons: Some experience ( 2+ years) on your instrument, beginner bluegrass, folk and Irish tunes and the skills and ear training.
Orchestra / Chamber Music training: Support towards school and youth orchestras, chamber groups, and auditions into these groups.
Modern Strings: Learn songs on the radio, arrange your own pieces, and improvise in different genres at your level.
Adult Beginner Violin and Cello Lessons: For adult students with or without previous musical experience. alternative scheduling or Ala Cart lessons can be considered on case by case basis.

Teaching Background

Miss Olivia Quintanilla trained in cello pedagogy and private instruction at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. She is an artist instructor with GTCYS ( Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony) Harmony Program since 2019 where she leads beginner cello classes. I use a combination of lesson books and repertoire to keep a student engaged and eager to learn.
